Her co-stars Christine Baranski and Morgan Spector joined Coon at the TV Festival. While each series has interesting things to say, the questions that Bertha Russell is most involved.
In response to Besha will never be satisfied, Kuhn goes on to discuss the drive that drives mothers in real life and in the series.

She began, “We know she was determined to marry Gladys. That’s the subject.” But it was her comment on why it really resonated.




“People criticized Bertha for her for her nearsightedness when they married her daughter, but…you know, I have a daughter. My daughter was three years old and ran to my house.” As the crowd smiled, Kuhn continued, “We were tempted to project things onto our children and I found it difficult for me to do it with my children…but, we don’t do it with our siblings.
Kuhn next talks about the biggest impact!
“Imagine if we could give up on preconceptions about someone and think it’s directly in front of us.
To end everything, she re-engages her character and why it seems harsh when mentoring her daughter.
“She understands that the world is not set for Gladys. If Gladys wants to have any power or influence – the power and influence that Bertha wants to have – she has to get married in a very special way. Getting married is good. I think what Bertha understands is that you can have the love of a puppy and have a great time, but that will last for 35 years.”
Personally, Coon said she has a lot of respect for Bertha’s need for Gladys.
Did she operate in some seemingly blunt way? Maybe.
“I do believe she has some understanding of the world and she wants her daughter to be safe, not only safe, but to achieve.
