
Brittany Hockley's Wedding with Partner Ben Siegrist Looks perfect, but An element that completely failed.
The two allocated $1000 for a simple and elegant wedding cake to share with friends and family Wedding at the romantic Pandawa Cliff Estate.
But when the cake is delivered, it doesn't look like what they ordered, but rather akin to a burning “four piles of pizza”.

“We have to talk about wedding cakes,” Hockley said during their podcast in their lifetime with Siegrist and her co-host Laura Byrne.
“Can you even call it a wedding cake?”
Hawkley shared photos of the amazing sponge cake she ordered. It features two layers of sponge decorated with piped white cream, topped with vibrant fresh berries.

She then shared photos of the unfortunate cake she received.
“It's not what we ordered at all,” Siegrist recalled the cake.
The cakes replace the two-layer sponge they ordered, but rather resemble flaky puff pastry. It is paired with white cream and colorful berries.

“I'm not lying to you – this cake looks the same as four stacks of pizza,” Bourne explained
“It seems someone has got four huge tallest pizzas, layering them from one another.
“It was covered with blueberries and looked like olives and then almost cut into strawberries, but looked like cherry tomatoes.”
“It's like buying a cake on temu.”
Hockley recalls retreating when the wedding cake disaster.
“That's bad,” she said.
Then when Hockley and Siegrist tried to cut it, it was too burning to cut, and instead “crashed everywhere.”
As she tried to grab the disappointing cake in front of guests and her wedding photographer, Hockley smiled and said she had enough.
She recalled: “I literally said, 'Stop shooting'. I said, 'Take it away, no photos, and see nothing.'
The couple's unfortunate “expectation and reality” moment eventually brought them back $1,000.
“That burning pizza is $1,000,” Hockley admitted.

But at least the wedding cake slippers serve a fun story.
“When they lie on their resume,” Hawkley captioned her Instagram of the podcast clip.
“What we delivered is definitely not what we ordered, but we can’t stop laughing.”
All the stars were found at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2025
In the comments section, Hawkley’s friend and former colleague Mitch Churi admitted that the cake tasted as bad as it looked.
He jokingly wrote: “I don't want to say anything, but I'm choking. That's too dry. I almost choking and dying.”
