Netflix is officially bringing Pop the Balloon, the viral dating show that's captured social media, to the big stage with a LIVE weekly version premiering Thursday, April 10 at 8 pm ET.Hosted by Emmy-nominated actress and comedian Yvonne Orji (Insecure), Pop the Balloon LIVE will stream exclusively on Netflix and take fans inside an unfiltered, high-stakes dating experience—where every connection is real-time, and every balloon popularity may mean goodbye. This is more than just your typical dating experiment. Participants (many of them familiar faces from reality TV) must form a connection while avoiding accidental or intentional destruction of the balloon. A popular, they went out. The show cheers up the bet with celebrity surprises, live elimination and spontaneous twists. Those who join the wild ride this season are Johnny Banana (Challenge), Chase Demoor, Chase Demoor (too hot), Farrah Abraham, Teen Mom and Zaina Sesay (Zaina Sesay) (Ultimatum). Let's just say, they're in for an entirely new kind of reality check.Pop the Balloon LIVE is executive produced by Matt Sharp, Dan Adler, and Bonnie Biggs of Sharp Entertainment (part of Sony Pictures Television), alongside creators and executive producers Bolia Matundu (BM) and Arlette Amuli, and Ellen Rocamora.“Partnering with BM, Arlette and Netflix has been an incredible experience,” said Matt sharp. “This new iteration builds on the original core concept while simultaneously breaking the boundaries of connection, chemistry and unpredictability.” It was a complete moment for BM and Arlette. “From day one, we've been keeping love and fun at the heart of the show,” the creator said. “It's really exciting to watch it grow and surpass our wildest dreams. Yvonne is fascinating, witty and real – we look forward to her as the host of the Netflix reimagined version!” Orji, fans know they're beloved, but unfortunate Molly is the unfortunate Molly from Insecure. “After playing Molly for five seasons, I know one or two things are about finding love in a desperate place,” she joked. “As a host, I look forward to a delicate balance of the heart and humor of the sunbather at home and the Netflix audience.” Like this: Loading… Discover more from Baller Alertsubscribe for the latest posts to your email.
